WHERE WE STARTED
The website worked. The problem was having control of it.
The existing site had been professionally created, leaving Marguerite and Frank unable to make the changes they wanted themselves. As the business developed, that meant the website couldn't easily develop with it.
They wanted more control and the option to add things like online bookings and sales in future.

FINDING THE LOOK

The inspiration was already there.
Westfield Croft already had a visual identity. It was sitting in their own photographs.
We pulled a colour palette out of those images with Adobe Color, then used Claude to explore a few design directions. That gave them a starting point without deciding for them what the finished site had to look like, while they learned their way around the Wix editor.

THE FINAL PASS
Knowing when to hand it over.
Once Marguerite had built the site and was comfortable making changes herself, she handed it back to me for a final pass.
I worked through it page by page. Refining layouts, checking the mobile experience, fixing inconsistencies and tidying the small things that are easy to miss when you've been immersed in building it. Then behind the scenes: SEO, page titles and descriptions, indexing, and Google Search Console.
